web-GEMs is a series of interactive case modules based on the AAMC Geriatrics Competencies. Individual cases can be integrated into third year clerkships with emphasis on “core topics” in, e.g., neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, or the curriculum can be used as a whole within a geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine clerkship. The purpose of the web-GEMs cases is to develop learners’ understanding of geriatric medicine, and to integrate that understanding as they expand their skills within other specialties. Faculty can assign to students and receive reports on their progress. Find out more about web-GEMs

The American Geriatrics Society (AGS)’s Geriatrics-for-Specialists Initiative (GSI) is a multi-specialty effort to improve the quality and safety of care provided to hospitalized older adults through education, research programs, and efforts to change educational policies. The materials located in these 8 toolkits represent the innovative ways the grantees of the Geriatrics for Specialty Residents (GSR), a project of the GSI, have incorporated geriatrics into their curriculum.
