Abstract:
This episode gives an overview of the purposes of functional assessment of the elderly as well as tools for easy assessment in the office setting.

The listener should be able to:
- Define the purpose of functional assessment of the elderly
- List three questions that help assess healthy aging
- Identify screening factors for vision, hearing, leg mobility, urinary incontinence, nutrition, memory, depression & physician disability
- Use the Get-Up-And-Go test for mobility
- Conduct a simple functional assessment in an office setting
