Abstract:
OSCE Station for an elderly man complaining of a fall outside of the house.
Educational objectives:
To test a medical student or resident's ability to:
- Take a focused history for a geriatric patient presenting following a fall
- Perform a problem focused physical exam
- Establish a differential diagnosis and initial workup
Additional information/Special implementation requirements or guidelines:
Necessity of training the SP using the script and how to use the checklist to assess residents/students. Use of an examination room with blood pressure cuff. Use of video camera if desired.
