Abstract: 

This product uses standardized patients in dramatizations that focus on teaching as well as clinical care. There are two takes to the dramatizations. The second take incorporates comments that learners who have viewed the dramatizations suggest as well as pre planned alterations for take two. The user will view the actual dramatizatizations on CD ROM and the scripts used to create them. To obtain a copy of the CD ROM, please contact the author.

Educational objectives: 

This module is designed to: -Enhance audience participation -Reinforce geriatrics teaching points -Present geriatrics clinical application of Relationship-Centered Care -Present clinical application of teaching geriatrics The learner will be able to: 1) Teach geriatrics content 2) Apply the Four Habits Model of Relationship-Centered Care 3) Understand the clinical application of geriatric syndromes (dementia, depression, falls and urinary incontinence)

Additional information/Special implementation requirements or guidelines: 

The CD ROM may be used to train standardized patients to become "GENI Players" or for the audience demonstration. Praciticing physicians and residents have used this product.
