Educational objectives: 
Basic knowledge in the definition, diagnosis, treatment and sequelae of delirium. The student should be able to: 1) define delirium in terms of clinical presentation, 2) list risk factors for delirium, 3) suggest measures to prevent delirium, and 4) describe the sequelae of delirium.
